Hello Models!!!
This week, you need to submit a shot for the character in Sitcoms!!!. Let's see the photo this week
Team Hangovers
The Stick - Bradley
Jensen: This is great! I was so happy that Jude gave up Stick for you because I wanted you to use this photo. It's so perfect for what you've chosen. It's gross but it's perfect lol You look good as well. I love how poised you look for what's going on and your expression is spot on.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 2
MODELLING CONTENT: 2
THEME CONNECTION: 4
EVALUATION: AYUBOT is glad she does not have a gag reflex, because this photo is disgusting. AYUBOT never understood the appeal of "The Hangover", and found the movie to be incredibly unfunny, but AYUBOT digresses.
AYUBOT finds the theme connection in this photograph to be strong, considering BRADLEY COOPER's expression. But AYUBOT feels it could be stronger. For AYUBOT it is not a believable way to react if someone were to vomit on your shirt.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
AYUBOT would prefer to see some fashion in the photograph apart from a vomit shirt.
A more model-ugly-pretty expression could make the photo more believable.
JY: I like this photo. I think you nailed the theme well but be careful with the modeling value in your photo. I agree with Ayubot on the fashion content of your photo. Overall, I love the interaction and chemistry in this photo. I think you'll be fine. Good job.
Sean: To me, this is a bit more of The Square since The Square tends to be the main character much more often and that's what I see you as here. However, The Stick is just an amped-up Square and I can definitely see that in this photo, so it still works. You hit the theme aspect of the shoot very well. I would like a bit more of a modeling value to this photo. It's a perfect shot for a sitcom promo shot (which is what the theme is this round), but we are still in a modeling competition. Still, it's a solid photo. Good work.
The Bully - Godfrey
Jensen: You are mean!!! You big bully you!!! This is nice, I love your profile of course. I love the length of your right leg, the round little booty. I really really like this angle of you actually. Just going to look at your ass all day if you don't mind ....................
JY: Definitely my favorite photo from you so far. I love how versatile you are. I think your photo has the most modeling value. You don't just nailed the theme but also nailed on the fashion part. Great job, Godfrey.
Sean: There's a good connection to the theme here since this is about as openly belligerent as you can get without crossing the line into poor taste. At first, I wasn't a huge fan of the pose since your angles are closing your body off from us. The belt normally should be in your left hand with your right arm on the fake horse to turn your chest to us to give us more open body language. However, with your back turned towards us, it creates a more aggressive tone to the photo since you're closing yourself off from us. That fits with your theme this round. The more I think about this photo, the better it gets.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 3
MODELLING CONTENT: 4
THEME CONNECTION: 4
EVALUATION: AYUBOT's records show that The Bully trope is not necessarily "A bully", but also a "jerkass". AYUBOT thinks this photo takes the form of a jerkass. AYUBOT loves GODFREY GAO's face in this photograph. Coming to fashion, AYUBOT does not like the combination of those sockless brown shoes with the jean shorts and the shirt.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
AYUBOT concludes that despite having a nice gluteus maximus, his feet are very smelly. Start wearing socks.
The Goofball - Jude
Jensen: Oh, I actually like this lol I was worried but this is pretty good. I like the action and the styling. It's not perfection but it's really good.
JY: I don't like the fact that we can't see your neck. It looks weird but overall, I think you nailed the theme. I see a goofball. I love your energy. Overall, good job, Jude
Sean: You've nailed your theme, but the modeling aspect of the photo is slightly off for me. I would have liked to have seen you in another setting other than a studio shot. I feel like a location could have helped enhance your character and overall feel of the photo further.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 2
MODELLING CONTENT: 2
THEME CONNECTION: 5
EVALUATION: JUDE LAW plays a very convincing goofball, but he does not convince AYUBOT that he is a goofball that can model. AYUBOT is a fashion robot. AYUBOT loves modelling. AYUBOT likes the face, but the rest of the body looks deformed.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
POSE - AYUBOT cannot see the fashion.
The Square - Liam
Jensen: I love this shot. I was hoping you'd use it. Maybe not particularly for Square, but for this shoot lol I do see Square though. Your expression sells it. Greasers were The Outsiders, Danny Zucko was a T-Bird lol Sorry, huge fan here of both lmfao You actually kind of have John Travolta eyes. hmmmmmmmm this is getting better and better lol You are one of my favourites this round as usual lol This is deliciously good and I think you fit the them well.
JY: This is a solid photo. I love your fashion. I definitely see 'The Square'. I think it's a different approach from Dave but it works out perfectly. I love the fashion in this photo. Great job!!!
Sean: Personally, I see you as being more of The Bully in this shot than The Square. The color scheme (the dark vibe) and the posing just makes me feel like you would have fit better in a different archetype. However, I am able to still see The Square in this shot; mainly because of the whole "man in charge" bit. While I'm fine with your theme incorporation this round, I do have to say that I love this shot from a modeling standpoint. You look fantastic in this shot and it's a strong pose.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 5
MODELLING CONTENT: 5
THEME CONNECTION: 3
EVALUATION: FINALLY! AYUBOT SEES FASHION! AYUBOT loves the fashion in this photo, but it has come at a cost of theme connection. AYUBOT finds it hard to believe a square would put his muddy shoes on a table in a diner. That is more the work of the bully. MODELLING and FASHION are great.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Theme Connection.
The Dork - Misha
Jensen: You went with Dork right? This is good, I like the glasses, the pen in mouth and the furiously typing away on your ipad? Whatever it's good. I like this. Always go with your gut in the long run
JY: Misha, this is my favorite photo from you so far. A little bit candid but it didn't affect the modeling value much. I love the glasses, the props. Very dorky but still cute. Overall, nice job!!!
Sean: Definitely see your archetype in this photo. This photo fits The Dork and I could see it fitting The Stick, too. You have good use of props in this shot and you're styled nicely. I agree with Jae that it has a little bit of a candid feel to it, but not to a point where it creates a problem. Good work, Misha.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 2
MODELLING CONTENT: 2
THEME CONNECTION: 5
EVALUATION: Another example where THEME CONNECTION is high, but FASHION and MODELLING are lacking. AYUBOT is not sure she likes this theme. MISCHA COLLINS has nailed the dork aspect, but lacks in fashion and modelling.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Fashion content.
Modelling content.
The Charmer - Stephen
Jensen: I'm glad you chose this one. I like the whole feeling to it. I love that you're reaching out to help someone. It's very lovely and you're definitely a charmer.
JY: I like this photo. A little bit dark but it works for 'The Charmer'. I'm not sure if the girl left you here and whether it works perfectly for 'The Charmer'. But this is much better than the one that I thought was your photo
Sean: I like the route you took with this archetype since I personally feel the more obvious route would have been the smarmy guy who hits on all the ladies. I like the action in the photo. It feels very "in the moment" without crossing the line into candid. I like the way you're styled and if I had to give one critique about this photo, I would have preferred you to be clean-shaven in this considering the route you took with the archetype. Still, it's a very minor quibble on my part. Great work, Stephen.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 4
MODELLING CONTENT: 4
THEME CONNECTION: 5
EVALUATION: A prime example of fashion, modelling and theme connection. AYUBOT is almost as in love with something as a robot can be. However, STEPHEN AMELL's face is very vacant. It lacks any emotion.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Facial expression.
Team 7 Deadly Sins
The Charmer - Darren
In the TV Show "Six", six college friends graduate and have to learn to live in the real life. Darren Criss plays Blaine, a very successful young adult who gets a job in the stock market. He's very well liked with his friends, the girl he's suppose to marry, his high school sweetheart, and his job. It looks as if nothing is going to get in his way. But there could be one thing...
Jensen: So what your team did with the show name and blurbs about characters.............I loved that!!!! You had two choices that I loved, and this was one of them. I'm glad you went with it. Sometimes when people are like, no use that one, i'm like OMG NO DON'T lol So I'm always glad if someone uses the photos I like! Anyway, I think you look great, you look so handsome and definitely a charmer!!! Your expression is spot on, your styling is spot on, and this is probably your best photo to date!!!
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 4
MODELLING CONTENT: 3
THEME CONNECTION: 5
EVALUATION: DARREN CRISS makes a very believable charmer in his expression, but interaction with another model may have made it more believable. AYUBOT would like to see BLAINE working his magic on someone. AYUBOT loves the suit fashion in this photograph, and the expression. The expression looks like BLAINE is in mid-schmooze with a ghost.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Interaction with another to make a character more believable.
Keep on top of modelling content.
JY: Great photo. I love this photo so much. I don't mind the background/setting much for this week. I think your style is perfect for 'The Charmer'. I really love the way you explained your photo. The story is perfect. Great job Darren.
Sean: You nailed your character in this shot. The way you're dressed, your posing, your expression; everything about the photo just tells us that you're The Charmer. I would like to have seen you in a setting other than a studio shot, but that's just a small complaint in an otherwise great photo.
The Square - Dave
In the TV Show "Six", six college friends graduate and have to learn to live in the real life. Dave Annable plays the character of Kyle, the serious one in the group. He loves stability in his life, but after getting dumped by his long-time girlfriend, he suddenly finds his world flipped upside down. Luckily, he turns to his 5 closest buddies to help him re-evaluate his life. But will their advice get things back on track or make things worse?
Jensen: Like I said with Darren, the show title, description and characters are just awesome. I really want to watch this show!!! Anyway, at first I was like meh, not sure how I feel about the picture. I mean, you're gorgeous. Always. But I find you kind of boring. Sorry. But then I read your character and then your reasons and you know what. The Square WOULD BE boring lol I mean, not on a sitcom, but their look would be kind of..........Ross Gellar lol Good looking but boring. I like this. I like your pose and expression and after being long winded about my feelings, I think you pulled this off nicely.
P.S. You also have good taste when talking to your team mates about their photos, I hope they listened to you this round.
JY: This photo is a little bit serious but I think that's what 'The Square' is all about. I can see Ted from 'How I Met Your Mother' vibes here. Very normal, average and the styling is perfect. Overall, I love your interpretation of 'The Square' here.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 4
MODELLING CONTENT: 3
THEME CONNECTION: 5
EVALUATION: DAVE ANNABLE plays a very convincing square. AYUBOT finds the fashion aspect is very plain and casual, perfect for the every man vibe of the square. AYUBOT sees inspiration from many characters in sitcoms.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Keep on top of modelling. An extended neck could make this much better modelling wise and give another element to character.
Sean: When I was reading through your team thread and saw this photo, I wanted you to play it right then. I'm happy to see that you did indeed go with this shot cause it was definitely your best option. You have nailed your theme. I love the way you're styled and the pose is perfect for your archetype. Great job, Dave.
The Goofball - Garrett
In the TV Show "Six", six college friends graduate and have to learn to live in the real life. Garrett Hedlund plays the character of Alex, the goofball of the group. His dad is tired of giving him everything and sends him to a job; where he needs to learn to do things on his own. However, his goofball nature and inhability to grow up, puts him in the most awkward and funny of situations... Up until the point where nothing seems to be enough to save him.
Jensen: I like the pictures on the second row lol Anyway, to the one you submitted. It's good. I'm glad you said the part about your dad trying to give you everything, because you look like you do have everything but you're bored with that so you're just always having fun. This photo is modeling. I actually like all your little goofy photos lol
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 4
MODELLING CONTENT: 4
THEME CONNECTION: 4
EVALUATION: While scanning for "THE GOOFBALL IN SITCOMS" AYUBOT's databanks brought the following results:
HOMER SIMPSON
PETER GRIFFIN
PHOEBE BUFFAY
Just to name a few.
AYUBOT sees a goofy character in GARRETT HEDLUND, but then AYUBOT sees his backstory photograph, and AYUBOT finds some photos to be more goofy, but still modelling than the one GARRETT HEDLUND submitted.
AYUBOT finds the fashion nice, and commends GARRETT HEDLUND on remaining attractive while pulling a face.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Don't tease AYUBOT with other pictures in the same post. That's not fair.
JY: You know how much I love you, Garrett but this week.................................................................................................................... ........... I love you even more. This is perfect for 'The Goofball'. You nailed it. I love the style, the goofy expression. Oh Gosh... Great job again, Garrett..
Sean: I can definitely see you fitting the archetype you've chosen in this photo. I think there were a couple better choices in the portfolio you showed us, but this one is still a good one. For the angle you're working, I feel the facial hair works here as it adds a little bit of a slacker vibe to your professional look. Solid work once again, garrett.
The Precocious - Heechul
In the TV Show "Six", six college friends graduate and have to learn to live in the real life. Originally from South Korea, Tae Min (Kim Heechul) is the most youngest (and cutest) of the group. He’s very sweet and friendly. He has a unique sense of style and his biggest dream is to be on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’. A little bit ditzy but he’s always trying to help his friends, especially Kyle since he had a crush on Kyle but never had a gut to tell Kyle about it until Kyle was dumped by his girlfriend recently.
Jensen: awwwwwwwwww you didn't give us the show and character description like everyone else That's my favourite part. This is cute. I'm not fond of the hat but it works with the theme I guess. My biggest issue though, is this seems candid. It doesn't seem like a photo shoot. If I felt photo shoot, I would understand so much more, but I don't. That's what makes this harder for me to appreciate.
JY: I'm glad that you chose to join your teammate and came up with character description too. It helped this photo a lot. I don't like the quality. But I love your styling in this photo. Very cute and your explanation is even cuter. I'm rooting for Kyle & Taemin now. However I still think you can do better than this. I think Heechul has cuter photo than this.
Sean: You're styled perfectly to fit your chosen archetype this round. The problem for you this round lies with the fact that this doesn't look like a modeling shot. It looks like a polaroid that was taken of you by the casting director when you were auditioning for the part.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 3
MODELLING CONTENT: 1
THEME CONNECTION: 3
EVALUATION: AYUBOT tried numerous times to adjust her visual unit, but no matter how hard she tried, it was always blurry. Although styled well, this is not a modelling photo. AYUBOT agrees with SEAN MEHER, this is a polaroid for casting, not a modelling shot.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Facial expression
Photo quality
Overall modelling content.
The Wisecracker - Josh D
In the TV Show "Six", six college friends graduate and have to learn to live in the real life. Josh Duhamel plays Landon James a wisecracking married man hiding behind sarcasm to hide his own personal demons. After marrying his high school sweetheart and dealing with the stress of college Landon falls into the ways of gambling debt while trying to pay off his college loans...
Jensen: This is probably your best looking photo to date. My only complaint is................why?? How does this fit as wisecracker? Why didn't you listen to Garrett? Or even one of your own choices, the air guitar one? Wait, that was Garrett too lol I like this photo a lot, but..........I don't see wisecracker. I love your smile though
JY: First, I'm not sure how to relate this photo to 'The Wisecracker'. So I had to read the link given by Sean to understand more about 'The Wisecracker. I found out that this character just lives to make fun of others (not usually mean-spirited, like The Bully) or to find the humor in any given situation. I got that vibes especially from you expression. A little bit naughty but not in a bad way. So, I think you did good this week.
Sean: Don't listen to the text at the bottom; remove that tag. I love the deviousness in your eyes and it's a little subtle, but the Wisecracker archetype is definitely present. The pose is a nice one, but your face is what really makes this photo. You are telegraphing so much with it. Good work and a great bounce back from last round.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:
FASHION CONTENT: 3
MODELLING CONTENT: 3
THEME CONNECTION: 2
EVALUATION: AYUBOT is afraid she must join in the chorus of other judges - Where is the wise cracker? It is present in the image, but it is not strong. AYUBOT would like to see JOSH DUHAMEL play a joke, or more expression. And cropping out the tag is easy to do on an iPad. If AYUBOT can do it on her iPhone, it should be doable on JOSH DUHAMEL's iPad.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT:
Theme connection - More emotion.
The Dork - Josh H
In the TV show "Six", Josh Hutcherson plays the geeky Thomas Hardford. After a childhood filled with comic books and video games, he has no idea what to expect when he begins college. Although he originally puts people off with his social awkwardness, he's kind and intelligent, and it's usually his brain that saves his group of friends from many awkward situations.
Jensen: *HUGS JOSH* Thank you!!! Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!! I wanted this photo so much!! When Dave said to use this i was like YES YES YES PLEASE DO!!! I have nothing negative to say, this is perfect!!!!!
JY: LOVE it. I think you represent 'The Dork' so well. You're getting better, Josh. You're the cutest dork ever. Great job. Great interpretation. Keep it up!!!
Sean: You have nailed your archetype with this shot. In terms of theme incorporation, I don't feel you could have done any better. On the downside, there is a little bit of a candid feel to the photo. I'm not accusing this of being a candid shot; just that it looks like it could have been one. Still the modeling quality is good and the theme is great.
Ayubot: PHOTOGRAPH ANALYSIS COMPLETE!
ANALYSIS:

EVALUATION: Although this photograph is perfect for the theme, it lacks modelling quality. As other judges have pointed out, it lacks a professional feel and steers towards candid. AYUBOT also feels the modelling is lacking.
